Please be advised that at approximately 1:00 p.m. this afternoon, a minor and brief fire occurred at ArcelorMittal Dofasco that may have resulted in apparent visible emissions for a short period of time

The fire was in an isolated area of our #1 CPCM cooling tower where no employees are located.  There were no injuries.  The fire was responded to and quickly extinguished by Dofasco’s internal resources (fire and security).  The MOECC was properly and immediately notified.
