Notice of Incident

At approximately 11:00 a.m. we experienced a failure of our fume collection system while casting iron at the No. 4 Blast Furnace. The incident resulted in a visible emission. The emission would have been comprised of nitrogen, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, hydrogen, Sulphur dioxide and iron oxide.

The Ontario Ministry of Environment, Parks and Conservation’s Spills Action Centre has been alerted and our teams are investigating.
