The flaring from #3CP’s four stacks will begin at approximately 5:00 a.m. and is expected to last 12 hours. Coke Plant personnel will manage the flaring to minimize any visible emissions that might occur. The Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change has been notified of this activity.
Maintenance activity (a valve replacement) at #3 By-products will require Coke Oven Gas from #3 Coke Plant to be flared directly at the bleeder stacks on Thursday, April 27.
