We've awarded $1.6M across 43 organizations with initiatives that will have a lasting impact on the Hamilton area

Teams of robot-building grade 6-8 students put their STEM skills to the test at the first Hamilton Wentworth District School Board (HWDSB) VEX IQ Robotics Competition sponsored by ArcelorMittal Dofasco. HWDSB was a 2017 CCIF Funding recipient.

Each year, Dofasco’s Corporate Community Investment Fund (CCIF) Committee selects causes to support in the community. The investments fall into five major categories: arts and culture; social services, environment; health and wellness and science technology engineering and math (STEM) education.

“We are pleased to announce our 2017 CCIF grant recipients and are grateful for the work these organizations do in the community,” said Tony Valeri, Vice President, Corporate Affairs of ArcelorMittal Dofasco. “Helping to build our community has always been an important endeavour for the company and we continue to see valuable and innovative initiatives that have a lasting impact on the Hamilton area. Our CCIF grants are part of a broader commitment to Sustainable Development, both for our company and the community,” Congratulations to this year’s grant recipients!
