Lisa was appointed Chief Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Officer in September 2020 and Vice President in January 2015, after having joined ArcelorMittal Dofasco as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary in June 2013. Prior to this, Lisa was a partner at an international law firm engaged in a broad corporate/commercial law practice with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, infrastructure financing, governance and regulatory compliance, and was also a contributing editor to the Business Law Reports and O’Brien’s Encyclopedia of Forms.
Lisa is a member of the Executive Team responsible for managing all legal, governance and compliance matters of ArcelorMittal Dofasco and the affiliates under its management and chief advisor, advocate and spokesperson for Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, and is ArcelorMittal Country Counsel, Canada. Lisa also serves as a member of the ArcelorMittal Dofasco’s Pension Committee and the ArcelorMittal Americas Legal Entity Governance Regional Coordinator.
Lisa graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Arts and from the University of Windsor with a Bachelor of Laws and a Masters of Business. She is a member of the Ontario Bar. Lisa is an active member of her community. Most recently she is a member of the Legal Leaders for Diversity and board member of Women General Counsel of Canada servicing as Conference Co-Chair and Co-Owner of the ED&I Action Plan. She previously served as a board member of the Art Gallery of Hamilton, an executive member and board member of the Adoption Council of Ontario and the chairperson of Baddest Beatz Inc. – a non-profit promoting musical activities for youth in Toronto, Ontario.
