Joe Tabak

Joe Tabak was appointed Chief Business Administration Officer in March 2026.

Background

In 2022, Joe joined Canerector, a private, Canadian-based industrial holding company with a portfolio of over 50 decentralized businesses that design and manufacture steel and other industrial products across a range of industries. He most recently served as Group President – Foundrion, where he led 11 operating foundry businesses across Canada and the U.S.

Prior to joining Canerector, Joe was with Mattr (formerly Shawcor), a TSX-listed materials technology company serving critical infrastructure marketings including oil and gas. Over his 20-year tenure with the organization, he held several functional and executive leadership roles, including President Composite Systems Group and President Automotive and Industrial Group.

Joe began his career with Imperial Oil (Esso), where he held roles in Sales, Project Management, and Continuous Improvement.

Joe holds a Bachelor of Science (Biochemistry) from The University of Toronto and a Master of Business Administration from McMaster University. He has also completed Executive Development Education with the Wharton School of Business.
