Rogerio Fonseca

Rogerio Fonseca was appointed to the position of VP, Finance in November 2021.

Background

Rogerio has held several global and regional executive level Finance positions at ArcelorMittal over his 30-year career, most recently as Chief Financial Officer, ArcelorMittal North America, responsible for ArcelorMittal Mexico, AM/NS Calvert, ArcelorMittal Dofasco, ArcelorMittal Long Products Canada and ArcelorMittal Tubular Products, a position he held since 2019. Prior to this, from 2015 to 2018 he was Chief Financial Officer ArcelorMittal Long Carbon Central and South America, responsible for Controlling, Risk and Compliance.

He began his career in 1991 at Brazil’s Belgo Mineira, today known as ArcelorMittal Long Brazil, in Controlling. In 1997, he entered an expatriation program at Belgo Bekaert Arames (BBA), a wire division of Belgo Mineira, with responsibilities for Controlling in Belgium and in the United States.

In 2000, Rogerio became Administrative and Financial Manager of BBA’s wire ropes Joint Venture in Brazil. In 2005 he joined Arcelor’s Corporate Controlling team in Luxembourg and in 2006 was nominated to General Manager of the newly formed ArcelorMittal, in charge of the Long Products segment (Long Americas, Long Europe and Wire Solutions). In 2008, Rogerio was appointed ArcelorMittal Head of Controlling of Long Products Americas, adding responsibilities as Chief Financial Officer of Trinidad and Tobago and Costa Rica to the position from 2012 to 2014
