Background

A graduate in Mechanical Engineering (State University of Gent, Belgium), Stefan joined the ArcelorMittal Group in 1988, holding several positions in the Ironmaking Department at ArcelorMittal Gent, Belgium. Since 2010 he has held various senior roles across several locations in Belgium, Germany, Italy and Spain. He has held the roles of Chief Operating Officer Primary, ArcelorMittal Europe Flat Products Cluster Asturias, Spain, Chief Operating Officer primary of the ArcelorMittal Cluster Italy, Chief Operating Officer Primary of ArcelorMittal Cluster Bremen, Chief Operating Officer Primary of ArcelorMittal Gent, and Coordinator for Primary Operations with the Chief Technology Officer Team of the business division North.
