Tammy Oommen

Tammy Oommen was appointed to the position of Vice-President Technology in March of 2026.

Background

Tammy recently held the role of Head of Strategic Initiatives on ArcelorMittal Dofasco’s Executive Team. She was first appointed to the ArcelorMittal Dofasco Executive Team in 2023 as Program Manager for the company’s Decarbonization Investment Project.

Prior to her time on the Executive Team, Tammy held multiple leadership positions including General Manager Primary & Finishing Manufacturing Technology, General Manager Finishing Manufacturing Technology and Technology Business Unit Manager for Cold Roll and Tin Products.  

She joined Dofasco in 2000 in the Cold Roll Products Business Unit as part of the Product Design and Customer Service team. She then progressed through roles of increasing responsibility in manufacturing technology, leading initiatives in systems, reliability and process improvement

Tammy is an engineering graduate from Queen’s University with an MBA from McMaster University. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Baycoat Limited.
